TODAY, after attending the launch of the Foundation Jasmin Roy I feel very small. Small? Certainly not in the sense of my weight, but rather the meaning of my contribution to the improvement of our society's values. Not that I do not contribute, but because some, like Jasmin Roy do with much more passion and conviction than me.
Tonight (Tuesday, 30 November) the launch of Jasmin Roy Foundation, which took place in the Nuvu's gay village MTL, I met some wonderful people who invest and channel all their energy to change real things in life, like fighting homophobia and bullying in schools. I admire them very much.
"Jasmin Roy Foundation's mission is to fight against bullying in schools and support victims of school violence. The purpose of the foundation is to assume a safe and healthy environment for all students by supporting citizen initiatives that fight against discrimination and violence at school ... "
A strong emotional and convincing presentation of Jasmine and his team, followed by a presentation of promotional video clips of the foundation, all in a festive atmosphere, sharing and love, convinced me that I can do more!
This short text is a call to everyone, my small contribution to all those who believe their children do not deserve to get bullied physically or psychologically in their school environments, whether gay or not, change things!
All together, we just yell "ENOUGH" and no longer tolerate this senseless violence!
Our children love us and trust us! Are we really listening?
