Why Does My Newborn Have Phlegm In His Throat

Yves barge "From design to be"

Yves barge, the fine arts student from St Etienne from 1975 to 1976, is still today one of the authors of the leading French comic strip and "father" of the "clear line" Etienne with Biard / Cornillon and Terpant.

Missing, too early in 1990, his graphic designs were part in a dynamic where the cartoon, illustration intersect literature, music, advertising, design, graphics.

Ten years later, his wife Isabelle Beaumenay-Joannet inaugurates a series of furniture, objects in the "barge line. On this occasion, a first cabinet, drawn from the album "Adolphus Claar" means the day in 2010.
What more natural then than to join the Design Biennial 2010 from St Etienne to present this wonderful initiative.

The exhibition "Big boxes - Yves barge From drawing to the object" is an opportunity to celebrate the "return" of Yves St Etienne Barge. This will
also be recalled that Saint-Etienne, for many years, always remains a large and dynamic pool of comics, illustration and graphic design.

this occasion will be presented a set of originals (layers, sketches, illustrations, furniture ...), opening an exclusive line of "barge" and a tribute to comic book writers, the illustration and graphic design to the great name of the comic and the wider French Etienne.

All in a warm year 50 (objects / design) and the album "Adolphus Claar"
